The question has been asked whether we can get caller ID on our DID lines going through a Norstar MICS release XC 1.0. I understand that we would have to order the service through our carrier but was wondering if the phone system needs to have any special cards or a higher version of software. Any help to this would be appreciated.

Caller ID and Norstar MICS release 1.0

You cannot have CallerID on copper DID trunks--the signalling used for DID and CallerID are not compatible (loop start vs wink start). If you have a PRI, that's a different story. You do need CallerID capable cards to receive CallerID on loop start trunks.
