I suspect this is an easy one, I just can't find it even though I've been looking online for a while.

A user here says her set doesn't display the caller's name as well as their extension number, am I missing something in the setup? Would this go under the CLS section?

This is a print out of the TN.

I would change CLS CNDD to CNDA and CNID to CNIA and DNDD to DNDA

So just
ld 20
chg
TN
yes to easy change
cls cnda cnia dnda

?

I've not changed the CLS before so not sure how to take things out

I also noticed you had hunt and fdn assigned you may want to chg cls fnd to fna htd to hta .

AndyRothgen - yes to the steps you outlined to change the class of service.

Be careful with DNDA.
DNDA will be okay unless the call is redirected by call forward, hunt or FNA. With DNDA, if someone calls her directly at her own number then she will see the callers name. But if the caller dialed an extension that was redirected to her DN then she would see the name of the number that was originally dialed. That is useful for a secretary that answers calls for different people but most want to see the name of the person calling.

CNIA doesn't affect the phone display. It is only used (as far as I know) in a hospitality environment to send call information to a background terminal or property management system. Unless this is a hotel then you are fine with CNID.

Thanks all.

Going by the above I've changed CNDD to CNDA and will test it with the user.

BTW, is there a reference to all these codes anywhere? I'm probably just missing it on PBXcookbook.

ld 10 or 11 has the listings of cls entries.
