There was an error creating the caller application. Please ensure the information is correct and try again.

[javax.mail.MessagingException: A9 NO Append failed Can't sync message;]

Above is the error when trying to create a new application in CAE, the error comes back stating it's due to the release currently being used and the only way to fix is to upgrade.
