call waiting on Norstar System

I have a CICS system with T7208's, T7316E, and a T7406. Is anyone familiar with a method to pick up a call waiting on a particular line. I was told to simply hit the off hook button and it would transfer to the other call. This worked, but it would hang up on the other call everytime. Thanks in advance for any help.

I mean call waiting on the same line that you are talking on. This particular system is in a residence. Thanks!

Yes press Feature 71 while on the call to answer second call as luv2ski has mentioned.
Best to program a button for them....press Feature * 3 then press a spare button (or sacrifice one) then press Feature 71, now when call waiting signal is heard just press that button and press again to return to previous call.
