I can not seem to get a call waiting feaure working again on a MICS T-1 Release 1. It was working up until I installed CLID cards so that caller id would work. I went in to their programming remotely today and saw that the key they are using is set up as F*78 it's labeled on their phone as link/pause. I tried changing the Link timer in the system but that didn't work. Any suggestions?

Hook a single line phone on the line from Telco and make a call, have someone else call you on that line and see if you can flash/hookswitch to switch to new caller. If you can not it is the phone comapnies problem.

Good Luck!!

I tested this dialing the feature manually and it worked. From the phone they hit a link key then *78 which puts the 1st caller on hold and picks up the other. Now when I dial in to the system that key that use to work says f*78 on it. So I guess somehow the flash/link is programmed before the *78? But I don't know why it's not working anymore. And how do you programm link *78 on a key, wouldn't it say speed dial if thats what it was?

To combine the functions, do a Feature * 1, press the key you want to program, Do feature 71 then * 78.
You might also have to insert a pause after your link. This could get a bit confusing, because a Norstar pause is Feature 78, not to be confused with the *78 you are sending to the CO. Actually just realized that you are not sending a *78 to the CO.

Try Feature *1, press your key, then Feature 71 Feature 78.
They are double stacked in your sequence.
That gives you a LINK, PAUSE.
Just tested good here.

Another thought. Make sure your new CLID cards are set to tone instead of pulse. Pulse dialing uses different Centrix codes.
