CALL WAITING CALL & CALL MONITOR WITH ICG/DID

Does anyone know of a way to allow call waiting for ext to ext calls but not for external CO calls?

Here is the issue.....

We DO NOT want to receive call waiting signals at extensions logged in to a call group.

If we turn call waiting off, then DID calls to the same station (EXT) gets a busy from the outside.

If we intercept the calls if busy to voice mail, then EXT to EXT calls also forward to the voice mail when the user is on a call. Internal callers (i.e. Secretaries cannot ring the boss as they go to voice mail as well).

Also with busy intercept active there is no way to monitor calls (listen-in).

Is there a way to override per call the intercept or have different rules for internal vs. external call waiting?

We have tried multiple appearances of SDN/PDN and Loop CO with the same results.

Have you tried changing the call forward setting? Set the internal for no answer only that way you will get the busy notification to do the listen in option or barge in.
 
Thanks, but the users can deactivate it and they have to have a FWD/DND light on.

I am thinking there has to be a cleaner way?
