Call Waiting Beep on shared Lines

I am using ccm4 with the 7970's. These phones are using shared lines for the main number and other lines they are monitoring. If the user is on the phone and a new call comes in on the shared line the user already on the phone gets a loud beep in thier headset.

Is there anyway of removing this noise as it is inturuppeting the calls and they are missing important information on thier call

On CM3.3.3, this is controlled by drilling down on the phone to each extension, then changing the "Ring Setting (Phone Active)" setting to either Disable, Flash, Ring Once, Ring or Beep.

Default is Beep. If all your phones simply say "System Default", then change that default using Service/Service Parameters, then scroll down to "Cluster Wide Parameters (Device-Phone)" and change the setting for "Ring Setting of Busy Station".

I don't believe that this has changed much on CM4, but not having dealt with that system yet, I can't confirm.

Also, not sure what kind of reset the phones might require after changing the default setting.
