Call transfer won't ring extension but transfers ok

We have a phone that will not ring when someone transfers a call to it. How can I make it ring on transfer?

Check that the phone's ringer is up. It appears that a true transfer isn't being done. Swap out that phone extension with one you know that does ring on a transfer and see if it rings at this location. If it does, then the other phone has a ringer problem. go to the phone that dosent ring and call an extension with a display, verify that you are using the right ext number for that phone. also check to see if the phone that dosent ring has system ring or voice keys programmed on it. these can also be turned off.
