Hey Guys;
IPO 8.1 500 v2

I had an odd question that I'm seeking a solution for.

Is there a way to dial a call for someone then transfer over to them before the call goes out.
Example:
Receptionist dials number for an executive, he presses a button and once it hits his line the number dials out.

I've been searching for an answer but can't word it correctly in my Google searches. Any help is greatly appreciated!

1) Give the boss a basic phone that doesn't support auto-answer. Since they're too lazy to dial they don't need a more advanced phone. Give the receptionist access to one-X Portal or similar for the boss.

For phones that can't auto-answer, its standard IP Office behaviour that when the user dials from an application, the IP Office will call the users phone first and when answered the IP Office then makes the outgoing call.

2) In Voicemail Pro create two callflow. One for the receptionist which lets them dial the number, saves it as a variable and then uses a Post Dial action to trigger the callflow for the boss.

When the boss answers the call to them, their callflow uses the same variable in a transfer action too make the outgoing number.

3) Once you've decided that the above are both over-engineering, just have the receptionist transfer the call as fast as they can after making it (read the Manager help on one-touch transfer)

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
