Call timer on i2004

Has anyone come accross this issue with i2004 sets:

When on a intercom call or outgoing call and a secound call is comming in on a Ans. DN or line set to Appr&rng/Appr only, a timer with 01/01 next to the DN# will appear. does anyone know why this happens? is it a firmware issue? any help would be appreciated.
 
yes it drives me crazy but I finally just started ignoring it when I posted about it and got no responses. I guess I should not be so picky, but for some reason it bothers me when the timer on my phone starts when someone else in the office gets a call.

I am not sure if this is a bug or "an undocumented feature.
 
I am happy to see that I am not crazy,I am not the only one having this problem,I have opened a case with nortel but still have not had a response as of yet.
