I have a few stations that have random transfer problems. When they go to transfer a call the call simply goes on hold. This has happened on Call Masters and on 9640 sets.
If you haven't already, make sure that the following two items on page 2 of the COR are set to NO:
[tt]Block Transfer Display?
Block Enhanced Conference/Transfer Displays?[/tt]
I have found that this aids in tracking down issues by giving the user messages on their telephone display when a Conference Call or Call Transfer does not work correctly. If nothing else, it will help you in tracking down the cause of the problem.

I made sue the above were both set to no but I don't get any messages. The transfer button is acting like a hold button and actually trying to transfer. However, I do have phone is the same COS and COR that are not having a problem.
Check the following on page 2 of the station form:
[tt]Auto Select Any Idle Appearance? YES
Restrict Last Appearance? NO
Conf/Trans on Primary Appearance? NO[/tt]
Also, are the transfers to internal or external numbers?

Everything looks good there. Are the transfer issues consistent? Perhaps you can capture what is going on by using the "list trace" function and posting the results.

FYI; there is also a setting in sys-para features; page 7, for [tt]Transfer Upon Hang-Up[/tt]. If that entry is set to [tt]YES[/tt], the call transfer will be completed when the individual hangs up, as well as completing when the "Transfer" button is pressed the second time.
