HI
How to setup the Call security in BCM50?
For example, I have a line which has 0 (zero) dial capability. I want to deny access to the 0 dial everyone except those have an assigned password in BCM. And, Is it possible to get a log file or report how many calls made by each password user?

Thanks for any guidelines

You build a filter, start after 5, build filter 6 to deny 0, and apply to all DNs. You need to build COS passwords and people will need to press Ftr68, password (6digits) b4 all calls. No, you cannot get a log off COS passwords to my knowledge.

Thanks for the valuable information. So, what is the advisable log method to get a report of Incoming and outgoing of calls for each DN? Should I purchase any additional keycode for this facility in BCM50?

Thanks again

3rd Party CDR .

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

No keycodes, the BCM can already send realtime CDR. But, you need a Call Accounting program to collate.

Kindly advise me a Call accounting program which is market proven and easy to manage. Is there any product from Nortel itself?

Thanks

Configure your SMDR to push call records to ftp server once every 24 hours.
Open with Notepad to serch or read. New file created every day.
You can then import the files into access and parse it out.

Whats the difference between CDR and SMDR? I could not find SMDR in my BCM Rel.2. except CDR. Both are same? Would you please tell me more about parsing the CDR logs through MS Access?! Are the CDR logs readable throught MS Access?!

Thanks for your update

Thats because BCM's don't have SMDR, but Norstars do.
