Hi to all
Installed two hipath 4000 v4 and v5 systems

Networked through E1 link (S2Conn).

The communication between two systems are working for some period and after that it start giving error message NOT POSSIBLE.

After restart the E1 card (DIUN2) the communication start again

One system E1 card is DIUN2 and in other system E1 card is DIUT2

When I display the REFTA table showing errors and when i rest the errors the communication start again.

The B channels links are always showing READY .

Thanks

Check for bad connections, replace connectors and test again.
Are these systems connected together directly, is there a radio link between them ?

Dear Sbcsu
Thanks for your response
Systems are connected directly with cat 6 cable
DB15 pin connector
Only 2 pairs are used for 1&9 and 8&15
Physical connectivity is showing up and all channels are showing ready

If you are using the 'standard' DB15 connector
That is one that converts the DB15 to an RJ45 socket then use this color code at one end

1-Green
8-Blue
9-Red
15-Orange
Short 7&14 and also Short 3&10

At the other end
1-Blue
8-Green
9-Orange
15-Red
Short 7&14 and Short 3&10

If you are not using those types of connectors then:
The PIN OUTS of the DIU DB15 is
Rx Tip ----- Pin 8
Rx Ring --- Pin 15
Xmit Tip --- Pin 1
Xmit Ring - Pin 9

Dear SBCSU

i used the below connections
Rx Tip ----- Pin 8
Rx Ring --- Pin 15
Xmit Tip --- Pin 1
Xmit Ring - Pin 9

the error counter shows the maximum number and then the problem arrives and if we reset the DIUN2 card and the communication starts again.

Sorry for the late response as i was in vacation for EID with additional leave.

Regards

Have a look at the error history - STA-HISTA:SEARCH;
If you see your circuit there with Layer 1 or L1 errors then it is a physical disconnection/bad connection/cable problem fault.

Back in my Cornet days one side had to be the "Master" and The other the "Slave", and your clock source for the span should always be the system that has the best external clock source, like a PRI or T1 that gets a reference clock from the CO. Considering it comes up at all it's probably not a master/slave problem, but you referred to REFTA - are you getting clocking errors?

Dear donb01

the rejection starts after the clock error reached maximum threshold

after restart the DIUN2 card it works for two three days and again start rejection.

Post a sta-hista filtered on the PEN of the circuits, from both sites, going back two weeks. Also a dis-tdcsu, the cop, the matching lwpar, and a dis-refta.
