Does anyone out there have experience of line side call recording on the Avaya S8300 Media Server platform with IP only handsets? We are looking to set this up (hopefully on our existing Nice Mira 2 call logger) eventually but are worried about how it will handle compression, encrytion etc.

What have your experiences been like with IPT call recording? Are there any other issues I should be looking out for?

Cheers

VOIP requires a separate VOIP logger. You can't add it to you existing NICE logger. We just ordered the new 8.9 loggers and choose not to order the VOIP logger due to cost.

If by line side you mean ISDN then the type of handsets are not important, you are only recording the calls going in and out of the gateway (no internal calls are recorded). The type of ISDN can be important i.e QSIG or DASS2. The Mirra can be converted to trunkside but only has a max of 30 channels.

The two basic principles of Windows system administration:
For minor problems, reboot
For major problems, reinstall
