What are your recomendations for a system to record station voice calls for an ICS. They need to record 16 extensions.

I installed a Voicegate call logger 4 weeks ago and Voicegate still can not get it debugged, so needless to say that is coming out but I need a recommendation for a replacement system.

Thanks,

Steve

You have 2 parts you need: a call logger, and a digital to analog converter. Some (very high end) recorders have Nortel format DACs built in.

I've had a lot of problems with the MCK EDACs on an Option 81.

Check out for the Algo Aux Box USB. It is a DAC that passes audio out to headphone jack, and can be set to trigger a couple dry contacts depending on which keys are lit up. It also outputs to a USB port and has Windows software to record your phone on your PC. The USB is also used to update the firmware and set what keys to watch to trigger the contact closures.

There is also a non-USB version if you want to hook it to a tradional call logger (or just a tape recorder) and are not woried about updating the firmware. There are dip switches to watch a couple different combinations of lines, but if you want to watch something else, you have to order the units with a customer firmware.
