I have a customer with a IPO V2 R9.0 looking to upgrade to R11. They are using Contact Recorder to record calls. As part of the upgrade, we would like to replace the server and migrate to Media Manager. Can I just leave the old server running with the intention if the customer needs to access old recording, they could access old server? Is the retrieval of messages on Contact Recorder dependent on license?

Existing Contact Recorder customers can use their existing license entitlement for recording, namely, Voicemail Pro Recording Administrator.

Depending on the URI configuration the ICR can be completely ignored.

If your URI is configured to use internal data then the IP Office will look into the user's SIP tab and if you have *'s it will look into ICR.

A madman with a taste for speed.

In 10.1 you could the recording license with Media Manager for new recordings but still have Contact Recorder running in order to access your existing archive.

In 11.0 you can only run Media Manager and need to migrate your old recordings (they can stay where they are but the migration process adds their details to the Media Manager database).

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Thank you Holdmusic34 and sizbut for your responses - stars for both of you
