call quality subpar compared with other services like Teams,Skype,Zoom

Hi,

I'm new to this forum! :)

We're having a server 2016 64bit which runs Avaya Manager 11.0.4.2.0 build 58.

Our employees are running
Avaya IX Workplace
Version: 3.11.0.44.25

But we get a lot of compplaints with the quillity compared with Teams.
It's like night/day, team volume is high and clean no static background noise.

Is this a known issue with Avaya with softphone clients?
 
IX connect to the IP Office then the lines connect out.
What type of lines do you have?

Also there are audio settings within the IX workplace to adjust the mic and speaker levels within the app.

So far there is no generic complaint about the call volume that I have heard of so it is a localized problem on your solution.

Also headset is a must, I am not hearing very well, probably standing in noisy server rooms for to many hours, so if people use their crappy laptop mics I want to jump in and strangle them. I just bought a $14 headset on Amazon for my wife that she uses instead of the Laptop mics and the call quality difference is like night and day.

I am still on 3.9.1 and have no issues, maybe you want to try the lower release. Avaya is known for throwing curve balls with new releases sometimes.
