We have an option 11c in our hospital and two 2250 attendant consoles. We have an emergency number that can either be called directly or automatically transferred to from our 'core' consoles. Everything works fine, except when the call comes into the attendant console so the operator can overhead page, the call might be in queue behind any number of other calls.

These 'core' calls mean someone is actively dying in the hospital and a crash team needs to dispatched immediately. Is there any way to push these calls to the head of the call queue? I've only read how to change priority based on DID, TIE, internal, etc. Is there any way to tag this extension as a different class of call and push it to the head?

Thanks,
e.

What about setting up another phone in the operator area that's dedicated to the "core calls"?

or you could set up another ICI key?

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

That's not a bad idea about the other phone. There's already a third set in the PBX room that handles 911 intercepts.

I like the ICI idea, but I can't find an ICE function that really lends itself to an internal call. I'm looking at my software I/O guide for LD 15. Am I missing something?
