QUESTION, HAS ANYONE STARTED A CALL PILOT UP WITHOUT CONNECTING IT TO A NORSTAR. HAD A NORTEL ENG SAY IT COULD BE DONE, PROBLEM IS CAN'T COMMUNICATE THROUGH ETHERNET PORT TO GET INSTALL WIZARD

Yes I tried to start up a CP100 without it being connected to a port and it would not come up. part of the start up procedure is checking for connectivity to a port. without that connectivity the system will lock up about 30 seconds into the reboot. you have to have a station port connected to the first port to get to the install wizard.
