I am setting up an important application on Call Pilot, if Call Pilot fails is there a way of ensuring callers are automatically routed to an alternative destination.

carentan1944..define a default acd dn that is referenced
in the cdn.during normal operation, the cdn is in control mode all callers are queued to be routed and then answered
by callpilot.under error conditions aml link is down the cdn operates in default mode the calls are routed to the default acd dn defined for the cdn. hope this helps.

Also, I believe you can multiple CDN's in CallPilot.

For example; the normal CDN that most things point to could default to an ACD Que that nites calls to the front desk and the special application CDN could default to a ACD that nites to a telephone set. This way if CallPilot is off line the front desk is flooded with calls while the telephone set only receives special app calls.

Build the special app CDN in Callpilot as a copy of the normal one. And reboot CallPilot inorder for the special app CDN to be acquired.

Actually, you should only have 3 CDNs in your Call Pilot. One for Voice Messaging, another for MultiMedia and the third for Speech Recognition. The rest of the numbers going into the Call Pilot should be set up as Phantoms or ACD DNs. Having multiple CDNs for voice messaging, etc., can cause problems with the Call Pilot.

That being said, you do have to have a default ACD DN assigned to the main CDN for voice messaging and it should have a NCFW assigned to it so that in the event the Call Pilot goes down, that is where the calls will go.
