I changed IP addresses in a perfectly working call pilot and it did not come back after rebooting. Now it appears to be in a loop. Serial port provides gibberish to hyperterminal and then recycles.

assuming the IP address is the problem, is there a way to access the call Pilot (or reset) from it's current state.

I also did try the power supply as someone suggested but problem still exists with good power supply.

Dont know if it will make a difference, but have you tried pulling the flash card, booting, then replacing it, and booting again.

When you say gibberish..do you mean: Exception 1000 IP=FFC602D0 MSR=00001000 etc etc..?
This happens when IP and Gatway are not in same subnet range..there is a work around to this providing this is the issue...

Just got in through the serial connection. able to change the IP configuration and reset the database. Everything ok now.

someone had changed the baud rate on the laptop I was using. I had set it up a year ago and used it many times and just didn't think it needed to be checked. So much for loaning equipment

In an effort to get the customer up and running I took my CP100 and his software and put it in service. Everything looked great in programming except F981 did not work - it will immediately exit. Ended up resetting database and reprogramming voice mail...

Also had to do the same with his voice mail and my software card to get it to recognize F981. DN length same. All greetings and mailboxes retained. Just no F981.... FYI
