I have a customer that says the web interface for his Call Pilot 150 goes down. He can ping it, but the interface cannot be accessed. I've asked him to make sure that there aren't duplicate IP addresses on his network and to try to plug directly into the call pilot using a crossover cable. Plugging in directly yielded the same result. Is it possible the network card is going bad?

Yes there was some issue with the connection to the MoBo if I recall.

Has it been rebooted?
Try another patch cord?

The ethernet jacks on the CallPilots are surface mounted, so I've seen many with cracked solder connections. This is likely caused by plugging in connectors too many times or using slightly over-sized connectors that stress the solder connections.

If you can ping the interface you have layers 1, 2 and 3 network connection. So not a connection issue.

What version of CP? Which browser?

Yeah Marv sometimes it's best to answer the issue and not the question.

Did they use a Cross Over cable when going direct to PC/Laptop?
Was it the same laptop PC/Laptop in both scenarios?
Did they reboot the CP?

You may need to connect with HyperTerminal via Serial cable and check/change the IP address.

Could be a software issue where upgrading to 3.1 (latest build) might help or doing a REINSTALL.

Thank you all for your responses. to answer your questions curlycord, yes, they used a crossover cable, yes, it was the same pc, and yes, the CP has been rebooted multiple times. Rebooting the CP actually brings the interface back temporarily.

If confirmed same issue with different PC I would try another PS then Upgrade software or REINSTALL to clear corruption.
