call pilot unified messaging-new message light goes out

I have a call pilot r 2.? with unified messaging going to a user. When a message is left, she receives her message in email and her phone message lights up. after 2 1/2 minutes her phone light goes off. When she goes into voice mail it is still in as a new message.. (she hasn't even touched her pc and the message in her pc is still showing the message un opened)

any idea's?
