Call Pilot tape drive cable replacement

Some of these scsi cables were recalled. Does anyone know if the server needs to be shut down to replace ?

Anytime I deal with SCSI cables or devices I always power down all the devices on the SCSI bus. The possibility of blowing up something is too much to risk.
