Hi there, is there anyway to make the Call Pilot prompts to always announce immediately once you log in on the IP sets or enhanced display phones?

On the M7208T7208 and M7100/T7100 sets you get Miss Joan Kenley saying the "mailbox" and then "password" prompt immediately upon accessing voice mail. I am assuming this is because the phones do not have softkeys. Is there a way to make her prompt talk immediately on the softkey sets such as the M7310 or 1140E IP sets?

Also, is there a way to make BCM Call Pilot say "Call Pilot Nortel Networks (or Avaya)" as soon as you log in, so that customers know they have reached the voice mail network? Call Pilot on the Meridian Options/Communication Servers immediately announce this when you log in.

Thank you,

If you like the CallPilot interface you can change it from Norstar (NVM) in CallPilot under Configuration, System Properties, Prinary UI style.

Thank you 56 BelAir. Is there a way to make the Call Pilot Prompts automatically begin announcing once you log in? Right now, you have to wait 5 seconds to get any voice recognition back after the first "Mailbox" prompt appears.

And then, what about having an annoucement once anyone dials the Voice Mail Extension that announces Call Pilot when answered?

If you change the CP interface I think it will sound alot more like you want it to behave, but I think you will still have to deal with the delay of the help menu.

I agree it would be useful as an option to have immediate voice prompts on all sets not just those without softkeys.

Call Pilot 100/150 used to do the same. I filed an enhancement request to Nortel in those days but they didn't even acknowledge it.

I think it woudl be a good accessibility option.

56BelAir - setting the interface to Call Pilot doens't affect this - in fact the BCM I am using is already in Call Pilot mode.

Thank you Ccarmock. There definitely won't be any more enhancements to the BCM line. Apparently all of the support has been moved overseas with Avaya focusing all energy on the IPO7 systems.
