I've come across some USRobotics power supply, they are 9VAC 1A and seem to plug into couple old CP 100 I have. My questions is will it work and or will they over heat with time? I've yet to try to boot them up but was wondering if anyone have used the higher Amps?

The CallPilot only draws the amps that it needs, but 9V will burn up the power circuit over time. As already mentioned the recommended voltage is 8VDC.

You also wrote that the US Robotics power supply is 9VAC. This won't work with a CallPilot as the output should be DC, not AC.
