I get the message CallPilot is up but not processing calls due to the following services are not operational.

Call Pilot Blue Call Router
Call Pilot Time Service

Any ideas, can't find anything in documentation.

Did you try restarting the system? I have seen this before, but usually a fresh restart clears the problem.

I have tried to restart, and I am going to try again.

That should work. Sometimes it doesn't come up clean because some services do not start and there is no provision for them to try and start again.

John

Is this a new install or is this a system that worked previously?

Check your PEPs to make sure that you have the latest level PEPs. I'm assuming that your CallPilot is a 201i. Make sure that it is not in slot 9 or 10 of cabinet.

is this a new install? those are very common on a non patches server.. the pep level is either not there at all or just inactive.. have you tried to stop and stop services.. might not help if the peps are blown away

No this is existing and has been up for about a year and a half and has the latest peps. Just quit working yesterday. Calls go to reorder.

What type of Call Pilot (201i, 1002rp,etc.)? Also, what version of Call Pilot are you running? This will let us know if it's NT or 2003

Cherry Pt, NC 92-96

It's a 1002rp running NT with 2.01 software.

Hey I was at Cherry Point from 92-96 also. Who were you with?

Maybe a long shot. Do you have Symposium and has that been restarted recently?

We have 1002rp on-site and we had the same messages a long time back. A restart should clear the problem. If not you can re-run the config wizard to reflash the DSP's. You can try to disable and re-enable your MGate card(s) as well to see if that knocks it in service.

Also, post what the status of your channels look like (active, idle, remote off duty, off duty, etc..)in CallPilot Manager before running the config wizard.

MWCS-28, wire dawgs. How bout you?

No symposium.

We tried restart several times with the same result. We are attempting to reload the software right now. We did disable and reenable the mgates, and the callpilot saw that they were down so the links were good. I think the software is corrupt.

I probably know you, I was with MWSS-271 wire dawgs.

How about the channels, what are their status in Call Pilot Manager.

You could also go into the services on the server and try to start the down services. Check the event log to look at the errors right before it stopped. Not much help but Nortel will be interested in looking at the logs so, I would save them to a file.

Yeah, we were in class not to long ago. I'm from Vegas.

haha, no kidding. small world huh?

The channels were all active, but now they are all uninitialized and there are more services not running.

usmc 68-76, mag 16 9th comm..

have you finished running the config wizard? what do you get on the server under port status? you said you are reloading, cp or os.. the os can cause that as quick as the cp

We had the same issues with our channels during a Call Pilot upgrade. During the reflashing of the DSP's they failed and the channels came up uninitialized. Our problem was related to languages so, it's different than yours but, if you haven't started the re-installation I would try the config wizard to flash the DSP's and see what you get. It doesn't take to long.

If you try the config wizard let us know what you get or if you re-install the application post your results.

You could try and reset the DSP card inside the server. Shake out those 1's and 0's!!!

good to see some Marines on-line!

After running the config wizard we're back to just the 2 services (time and blue call router) not running. I'll try resetting the dsp card now.
