Call Pilot not lighting MWI on Avaya Phones

We have an Avaya CM with T1 QSig integration to a Nortel CS-1000 (each has all QSig Supplementary Services enabled) for centralized messaging from the Nortel Call Pilot, but we can not get the MWI to come on. D Channel traces are showing that the Call Pilot is sending an optional parameter that is telling the Avaya phone not to light the MWI. We are trying to figure out where to turn off this optional entry to get this to work. I have read multiple entries from some of the folks on these forums who say they have it working. I am looking for those of you who have made this work for some assistance please.
