After my previous Call Pilot 150 crashed and and lost all the key codes, It would appear to be a good idea to back up my new one. I am trying to connect to the call pilot manager to back it up. However when i connect the patch cable to the call pilot and my lap top and enter the default adress it just "sits there". My lap top says "unidentified network". It does say in the installer's guide it can "take a few minutes", but I waited over ten. What am I missing?

Last are there going to be reports for the basic ACD in the CPM?

Thanx.

Did you set your laptop to the same subnet? Are you using a cross over cable?

If this CP was used and the IP address was changed and even if you do a reinstall the IP does not reset so you would need to know what it was before to connect.

plug in a 9 to 12 pin serial cable into your call pilot and the com port on your laptop. start up Pro com or some equivalent.
reboot the call pilot and watch the
watch the display as it boots up .
you can stop and reset the ip address to whatever you want.

What I meant was Procomm plus or some equivalent terminal emulation software. n-8-1 9600 i think straight RS232 cable VT100 xmodem ASCII

check your quick start guide.
piece of cake.
