We have a customer with a Call Pilot (w/Call Center)and the IP address that was given to the IT person and the owner is not valid. Is there any way to access the Call Pilot thru a back door or is there a way to find out what the exsisting IP address is?

Is this a CP 100/150. If it is tel-set programing will access it. I think F 9*8.

Tried the F9*8 it does not work. It comes back as Inactive Feature. Any other suggestions?

It has been a while, but the older CP 100/150 units always had a serial connection that you could connect with to find out the IP config. I can only assume the baud rate is 9600-8-N-1 but it has been a while.

Good Luck
Rob

Have also tried this with no positive results. Any other suggestions? We do not want to default the system if at all possible.

You mention that you tried this with no results....does that mean you can connect to the serial port and see information other than the IP, or you connected but can't figure out the baud rate, etc..

I can connect to the serial port with the baud rate setr at 9600 8-N-1. We used a null modem connection DB9-DB9.

Changing the IP address using the terminal
To change the IP address:
1 Attach the serial cable to the serial port on the CallPilot 100/150. For information about the
location of the serial port, refer to Figure 3 on page 25.
2 Attach the other end of the cable to the serial port on the terminal or computer.
3 Ensure that your terminal or computer is powered up.
4 If you are using a computer, start your terminal emulation program.
5 Remove power from the CallPilot 100/150.
6 Reconnect power to the CallPilot 100/150.
The prompt To change any of this, press any key within 2 seconds appears.
Note: The location of the transmit (TX) and receive (RX) pins on your terminal can vary.
Refer to your terminal or computer documentation to confirm pin locations.
Note: Steps 5 and 6 are used to force the CallPilot 100/150 to reboot. You can change
the IP address only while the CallPilot 100/150 is booting up.
Note: It takes approximately one minute for this prompt to appear.

Good Luck
Rob
