First call pilot 150 install here on a MICS 6.0- a few questions, hope you can help-
1-If i initialize system with a telephone step 11 in configuring tells me to choose call pilot ui -y or n what is this and if i choose y what is the difference beween the nvm prompts and the cp prompts?
2-besides going online to retrieve my keycodes can the entire install be done with a telephone?
thanx

U I = user interface. This is the diffrence between startalk voice prompts ("to play your new messages press 2") and call pilot voice prompts ("to play your new messages press 71") I can't be specific about the diffrences or if you get/lose features.

Call Pilot has different prompts so if you are replacing a mini or flash then go with the Nvm but if it is a new install and customer has not knowing the difference then I suggest you go with CP but set one up in your tech center and play with it first so that you can answer and teach the client easier.
It also has a nicer sound to it..like a lot more bass was added to the sound.

There are two settings:
1 - Call Pilot UI:(Y or N)
2 - Primary UI: (NVM or CP)

For the 'Call Pilot UI' setting if you choose Y you have to log into the general mailbox type 808 then RESETSMPWSD to reset the operator password (F982). If you choose N then you can reset the operator password the old way (F985 - 9 then RESETSMPSWD). Thats the only difference I know so far, there may be others.

For the 'Primary UI' setting if you choose NVM it plays Norstar Voicemail style prompts, if you choose CP it plays Meridian Mail style prompts.

The basic set up can be done with the telephone. There are items such as the CLID translation tables that I am not sure can be. The GUI is pretty good and once you use it you likely won't go back.
