I have set up a MICS 6.1 with a Call Pilot 150. when the call rings in on line 001 on dn 221, it flashes, but does not ring. When AA is activated to answer the line. It does go to the 221 mailbox. But if I turn off the AA, it does not go to the mailbox.
Is there a programming step to activate the vm box but not AA? What am I doing wrong?

Jim,
First check that 221 has line one 'Appear & Ring' set in programming. Then look at your CFwd no answer set up in capabilities. You will want to link Mbox 100 to DN 221 and have it answer ONE RING CYCLE less than any other phone that both rings on outside lines and has an Mbox.

My network connection crashed right after your message........
I am on dialup now.. sorry.

Yes. the CFNA was forgotten. I want to forward dn 221 to a personal mailbox. I configured 221 in CP150 for it. But when I try to programm the CF no answer for ext 221, it will only tale 2 digits. it won't take 221 or 100. Am I doing this incorrectly?

You must CFNA to the CP DN. Look for this under F985. Then in Admin ensure you have Mbox 100 or 221 linked to DN 221. Recommend use of Mbox 100 in this application as it will catch all lost calls arriving into the CP.
Also make sure you have a three digit DN set up. Use F0/intercomm to confirm number length on the set. The CP should auto set itself to the three digit numbering sequence when initialized. If the CP was previously initialized from another system, then be kind do a full reset.

OK. under F985 is currently 252. Is that a default ?(I never put it in there)

Jim,

It's OK. Rest assured it's not your default.
