Call Pilot Dial by Name

Afternoon. Its always the little things that come to haunt you. I have a question for the community and would appreciate any help. When calling our office in the evening you are prompted to either leave a message or if you know the users name you can enter via the dial pad. The question I have is this dial by name feature does it look to the users that are setup in the system or is there another list that needs to be changed ? Seems that some users you cannot reach or spell out their name and there are users in the system that are no longer with the firm.

Any help would be appreciated.

I believe it looks at the Users profile name field as did Mermail.

Looks at voice mailbox. Setting in mailbox needs to be checked to yes to allow name dialable by external callers.

names have to be spelled correctly and with last name/first name format proper, and you must keep clean records in the PBX and Mail system
