Call Pilot - Desktop Messaging causing Outlook to Freeze and/or Fail

This was posted already and I didn't see a resolution, so I'm reposting.

Users are running Outlook 2010 and Windows 7.
Call Pilot's desktop messaging seems to cause Outlook to Freeze, Fail or the internet connection drops periodically (then re establishes itself).
No error message other than "No Internet Connection Found".

Seems like this is a common error/problem, but I can't find how it was resolved.

Any help.

patch outlook completely - by completely - I mean ALL patches that are available for outlook
