had to reset callpilot 150 3.1
it came back up in default
redid some programing and reset again to test
went back to default

my question is : could this be a software card issue or a cabinet issue

Still sounds like a bad card, but your question is valid.

Sometimes determining the source of the trouble can be nearly impossible in the field. Is the card just bad nvram, or is it taking a surge that's wiping out an otherwise good card?

Unless you can take them down long enough to bench test each piece, it's kind of hard to say.

If you've got any spare hw on the shelf, I'd try and replace the cabinet first, and see if the sw holds.

If not, the only guarantee you can give your customer is to swap both, and bench test when you get time.

replace whole system
reprogrammed from scratch (2 hours wasted)(G)
will check the other system in office
thanks guys
