I have a Call Pilot 100 system and I know that It has only two voice channels, How can I see how many channels It has?. Some person told me that I can activate two more virtual voice channels, How can I activate the virtual channels?
There is often confusion around ports and channels. The CP has 4 channels that operate on two station ports. Each station port has a B1 & B2 channel. It is possible to connect only one port and use two channels when ports are scarce such as with a 3x8.
Did you mean that on one station port I can connect 2 thelepones lines so It can get 2 channels? and I can connect 4 telephones lines on two station port.
The CallPilot has two physical station connectors. Each connects to a Norstar station port. Each station port supports two "channels" or simultaneous transactions. Most folks hook up both physical ports in order to utilize all four available channels - however if you don't want to give up the Norstar station ports, you could hook up only one physical port in order to use two channels. Hope that helps.
I do not understand your question about connecting to telephones to one station port...
The station ports of the CallPilot connect to the actual KSU output ports itself. Plugging a phone into a port on the CP will do you no good.
Every port on Norstar systems have 2 channels. B1 and B2. B1 is the primary channel. There is no way to use B1 and B2 on two different devices. The Norstar phones use both channels, just like the CP100.
