Our BCM 450 V1 was trashed by a lightning strike and the new system is V5 9.0.1.74.682. I am rebuilding the CCR tree remotely however when I try to have the Call Pilot call me so I can record greetings I am getting a "the phone number is not valid" message. I am using the line pool access code (8) and a 1 and area code. Also checked the active application ports to see that they have access to the outgoing line pool and they do.
Is there another setting I'm missing? Our technician spent the weekend making sure the users had dial tone but there is still a ton of programming to do.
Thanks!!

We also checked the set restrictions on the voicemail DN's.

Where would I locate the absorbed length? Thank you.

Configuration -> Telephony -> Dialing plan -> Routing -> Destination Codes

Ah, that's what I thought. There are no destination codes configured. I was told by a programmer that these were only used with a PRI T1, but we do not have one of those. Is that the problem?

Dest codes are mainly used with PRI / T-1's but they can also be used with your basic pots lines etc. I'm assuming you have your lines programmed into a line pool then? Have you taken a look into the bcm monitor to see what digits are being sent out?
