We just upgraded to CP 5.0 and are in the process of turning up the Desktop Messaging. Two questions/problems:

Has anyone experienced the vm messages not play on the PC. Sometimes it plays, other times it does not? You may have to close the message and reopen a few times to get it to play.

Remote Text Notification: Anyone know if its possible to send the email notification to an email address thats not part of defined FQDN? We are trying to send notification to a cell phone address and its not going out.

nortelnDE...when you upgrade to 5.0 did you also get
the latest and greatest pep for desktop messsaging ?if
not i can tell you what pep is needed.

We are running the latest Desktop Release (5.00.41.19)and according to the installation Tech all appropriate PEPs have been installed.
 
nortelnDE..can you post what peps you have on the server
because 5.0 has a pep that should not be installed
because it can cause problems.

what OS are you running on your desktops?

your peps look good but you do need CP500S00G18S.exe
this pep replaces alot of the others and also has fixes
for problems with desktop messaging and it works with the
G19S.exe
