Make sure the credentials that you used to set up the backup device are correct.
You can test by creating the backup device, then doing an user archive on a single mailbox to test.
I have found it easiest to map a network drive from the server to a shared folder on the destination host that is set to automatically re-connect whenever the CallPilot is rebooted. This way, I can browse to the network drive from the windows interface on the CallPilot server to make sure connectivity is working properly. Don't forget to make sure the CallPilot has full access rights to the shared folder you are backing up to.
