I installed a call pilot 150 today. the customer extensions start at 100. The call pilot 150 won't let me build mailboxes 110 thru 119. I had this problem a long time ago. I had to change the prefix or something. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Sincerely, thephoneboy

If you go into the CallPilot programming (via your computer) and click on the 'configuration' heading, you will see a heading for 'system properties'. At the bottom of that screen is the prefixes for the CallPilot
They will default as '11'. This causes a conflict with your mailboxes that start with '11'.
Simply change the prefix to another number that doesn't start with a one and you can then enter your 110-119 series of mailboxes.

I was on sight today and tried to change the prefixes via laptop on network. But no matter what numbers i put in it will not take it. So I just built mailboxes 311 thru 319 which is OK until they try to retrieve messages from out side. they have to remember 311 verses 111. The call pilot is new out of the box with 200 mail boxes. I have changed the repfixes before but on a smaller systems. I wonder if the amount of Mboxes affects the ability to change the prefixes. Thanks

if you were trying to create a range and the extensions werent active in the system it would not let you create them. you can build mailboxes for inactive extensions, but only one at a time. hope this helps

you'll have to change the user interface to CP ...before changing the code
on the NVM interface the dial by name is always # or 11

(ive done only in the browser !!)

100 or 200 mailboxes shouldnt matter
