Does anyone know how to properly set a Call Pilot 150 Desktop Messaging to work with Outlook 2002 on Windows XP? If the user of Desktop is not logged into the Outlook email account, you can forward messages to other Desktops, or CP Voice mails only. IF they are logged in, you get a message that it can not forward to the SMTP server, and it goes, or you get the same message and it does not go. I have tried making CP a IMTP client, and that does not work. It is not a DNS problem as we are using IP addresses only on the network.

Thanks

CallPilot desktop messaging only supports IMAP accounts natively.
The client software creates a CallPilot message store inbox in Outlook.
The IMAP mail server and voicemail messages are stored in the CallPilot itself.

I am able to retrieve the messages just fine so the account is created. Transfering the messages between mailboxes through desktop messaging is the issue. Outlook for regular email tries to send it on the server, and NOT through Call Pilot. It works fine if you disable the auto log on feature for email. Nortel TAC is working on the problem, and they said they are aware of the issue. Have you encountered this problem before? What was the solution?

Thanks!!
