Hello,
I've looked thru the CP 100-150 CD and found nothing about this. Will a CP 100 work on a CICS that was installed about 6 years ago with 2 digit extensions? I would like to change it to 3 digits.I saw in the manuel that it is compatible all the way back to 3X8. Just want to verify if it will work with 2 digits.
Thanks,
Dmac,

The CP will only work on version CICS/MICS 4.1 or higher. If you wanted to change to a 3 digit, then you can run startup and make the start DN 221 or change it in programming (this I do not recommend)

Other then that, try installing the CP on it, it may work or it may not.

My momma always told me if i wanted to listen to an *sshole, she'll fart.

CP also works on 3X8 DR5 as mine works fine!!!

The 3x8 has to be 5.1 software for the CP to work.

The CP has to be like 3 times more expensive then the 3x8. I rather put an answering maching on the 3x8 then put a CP. Just a waste of a fine voicemail. Because after the installation you'll be left with a 3x6 instead. Just my 2 cents.

Hello,
I just finished up installing this CP on the CICS. It has (If my memory is correct) It said DR 1.0 expanded on the software card. Fairly old stuff. The CP fired right up. It was already setup with 3 digit extensions and had 40 mailboxes. I had to change the DN lenght on the CICS to three.Did this in System Programming. I know this is not recommended, but I thought I'd try it and see haow it went. It created no problems. Finished programming the CP with the Web interface and tested it. All tested good.
Dmac,

Whats up DMAC,
Call pilots sometimes do weird things when hooked up to older software systems.
Hopefully yours doesn't.
Take it easy
Gabriel

Gabe,
Yea I know, so it's a wait and see thing right now. It tested out good. So we'll see.
