Hi,

Newbie here! Im trying to install our small office CICS 7.0 with the call pilot 100. I can't seem to get into the CP. I have been able to use hyperterminal and change the IP address to 192.168.1.40 but don't know if it needs a subnet mask and the default gateway? I have tried changing the subnet to 255.255.255.0 and the default gateway is 192.168.1.1 but I still cant pull it up in a browser. Any ideas?

Class C subnet by default (.0)

If you changed the CP's default IP to 192.168.1.40, then assign your laptop's address as 192.168.1.41, subnet 255.255.255.0, and your laptop's gateway as 192.168.1.40 .

Use a crossover cable (one end 568A, one end 568B) to plug your laptop into the ethernet port of the CP, and browse to 192.168.1.40 .

You'll be prompted for a password...

Thanks.... I will give that a try.
