Call pilot in service for two years suddenly dies.
When I re-boot, the status lights blink rapidly for thirty seconds or so, then go out for a minute and then repeats the process of blinking rapidly. The power to the unit is 8.8 vdc. I can't access any feature codes. Anyone any suggestions?
Thanks

See if your part # is: A0838158
Mod # is : GT-21089-1509-T3
If it is then you may have a bad pwr supply.
Nortel sent a notice out covering this.

if ur version was 1.5.32, you may have 'bad' bootloader which may not work after power outages

I agree with FletcherP, I think that it is the
power suplly.

Nortel now has a separate part number for the CallPilot
power supply only.

And the new power supply requires a new power cord as well. The new cords are 2-conductor with no ground lug

Does the power supply look deformed in any way? Might make sure you have software in correctly. Pull out and firmly position in bottom slot, first unplug unit completely from the wall and unit. Unplug both ends out of the wall, surge protector and CP. then plug back in and try.

I recently had the same problem with a cp 100 and the solution was that the software became corrupted, probably because of brownout conditions.

On a side note:

Make sure that if this is your solution that you have any and all keycodes that were applied to your cp for an easy transition to the next software.
