Using an 81C. This only happens with analog sets. The type of analog set makes no difference. An outside or inside call does the same thing.
Here's what happens: Assume that two or more users are in the same call pickup group. A call comes in to phone A, and no one is sitting there to answer it. The user at Phone B (in same pickup group) answers the ringing phone by lifting his/her handset and pressing 13 to answer the phone. The call is answered ok, but the CALLER gets a short momentary high pitched tone in their ear at the time of pickup. I think this is a built in feature to let the caller know that their call is being picked up by another user. We want to eliminate this tone because it is objectionable to some callers. In Mat I have tried changing WTA to WTD, but callers still hear this tone.
