System 81C. This is in reference to Analog sets. If an incoming call is picked up by another extension using spre13 code, the caller hears a sharp momentary tone. Does anyone know how to kill the tone?
Maybe I didn't ask the question correctly. When someone picks up a ringing analog phone (in their same call pickup group of course),, the caller gets a sharp tone in their ear when the call is picked up. Does anyone know if there is a way to kill this tone in the 81c. It is objectionable to some callers. Thank you in advance.
is this a loud chirp or squeal sorta thing?when you say tone i think touch tone type.
possible loud chirp, clik clik, squeal.?
what kind of trk is comming into this pu grp.
and is this trk on a t-1 or copper?
if it's copper, you may want to switch cards of the incoming line. then the analog card, way back when, certain vintages of caards were better than others for noise and other things too! or maybe the line comming in is too! hot!
to high of db level from card, or telco. good luck
Its a sharp high pitched momentary tone generated by the system. As far as I know it has been doing this since day one,,(about 8 yrs ago) I'm thinking this pickup tone must be an optional thing that maybe can be turned off in the 81c. But I'll be darned if I know how to.
