Greetings, does anyone know of any feature interaction etc that would prevent individual call pickup from working? None of the limitations shown in feature reference seem to apply in our case.

Magix 2.2 Analog Extensions on 016T/R board lift handset to internal dialtone dial # 9 extension number to attempt to answer call ringing or on hold at other extension. Caller hears slow merlin busy signal(as though the wrong ext number was dialed) We verified that the correct extension #'s are being entered etc.
Problem also seems to occur from MLX extensions attempting the same key sequence.

Did this just start, or has it never worked?

It sounds as if you are doing it correctly.

Are you trying to pick up a ringing call or a call on hold?
Is the system in key or pbx mode?

PBX mode. Call ringing or on hold.
Both seem to be not working.
I am going to reverify with customer today, it really seems like user error but...

I think it's user error too.
Let us know.

Pickup is now working. Not sure why, no system errors in log. It is possible this was user error. We will be monitoring the situation and I will post again if I learn anything new and useful.

If it is only happening on a phone or 2, it could be a bad Membrane in the set. Thus, the button wouldn't work, or would only work sometimes.

If that's what it is, it will get worse over time.

Original poster says it happens on analog phone using dial code, so probably not a membrane problem (though always something to watch for on the ATL sets.)

Could it be there's a coverage button that causes the target phone to ring? Would Pickup of a target phone allow picking up a covered call from a third phone? I don't think so.

I.e., Phone 1 rings. Phone 2 covers phone 1, so it rings. User at phone 3tries to pickup phone 2, but gets busy signal because it's not a real call on phone 2.

FYI - Individual Pickup does work in the scenario you describe above calls ringing on primary coverage can be picked up.
