Hello Everyone,
Just want to thank you in advance for taking a look at this issue.

We have a SCR DN that appears as the prime DN on 8 phones. When a call is in progress from one of these DN's to another phone another user can go to one of the other 7 phones with that DN and pick up the phone and be part of the conversation. I have not come across this before so I am stumped.

They are just picking up the phone to make another call and it is automatically throwing into the existing conversation. Normally they have to choose another rollover extension on that phone.

Any idea's???

If you want I will put up print outs of all the TN's with that DN.

Thanks,
Jim

There are two issues:

1. The line does not have "privacy", probably because there is an analog TN that is the same DN as the one that appears on the 7 phones. If that is the case, you cannot stop someone who intentionally tries to enter the call.

B. You can give each phone CLS OLA and LPK 7 (the 7 is not the point, it just means the OLA looks at the first 7 keys). Anyway, CLS OLA says "When I life my handset, I pick the first free line" rather than just picking KEY 00 which may be in use.

Hello Ghtrout,
You are correct that there is a analog TN in the mix. I will test and let you know tomorrow. You are always here to lend your knowledge.

Thanks again,
Jim
