Call Pickup Alert turn it off??

Just wondered if the above feature, where your pickup key flashes if there is a pickup available, can be turned off on the system

It is MXe, just been upgarded to MCD4.1, the user wnats it tojust go back to how it was before this feature was brought in, where as you would need to listen for a phone ringing in your pickup group to know to pick it up.

The story is their pickup groups are way out of date, but was'nt and issue before the upgrade, as they would only know a pickup was available when they heard a phone ringing, now their pickup key flashes when they can't hear a phone ringing, and highlights their pickup groups are way out of date!!

Hmmm, as I suspected, looks like a case of trying to make the phone system read minds.

Proper Programming = Proper Functioning.

What type of sets are we talking here? Is a pickup key even required?

I assume you are using the line key "call pickup"

You can replace this key for an CDE Speedcall with the call pickup feature access code.

Yeah i know, just wondered if the was a system setting somewhere to enable/disable, as there is on other systems.

Bigsin's suggestion would work.

I was looking to see if the phones actually have a softkey prompt for pickup. Most phones will have a softkey that appears only after lifting the handset.

These are a mixture of 5330's and 5212/24's, no biggie, like i say just wondered if there was simple on/off key for the flash alert.
