I have a customer that is running MCD 4.2. They are looking to utilize the call pickup feature, but they want the option to put in the extension that they want to pickup. Looks as though it is simply picking up the first call that came into the group. Does anyone have a way to work around this feature?

That is the "call pickup directed" feature. Look in the online help under features for assistance.

That was my first thought but when I use the feature access code for that I get an Invalid. All the extensions in the MCD are using one of 2 COS and both have Call Pickup Dailed and Call Pickup Directed set to yes. Any thoughts why I would still be getting an invalid? They are all in a pickup group together as well.

Create Feature access code. Set call Pickup directed in the COS of the phone to be pickuped up. It might only grab the main number for the set. If keys appearances are ringing it most likely will not pick them up.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Something else you can't pick up a call if it is the attendant ringing the phone. Unless in the newer software you enable "Allow Directed Call Pickup Of Attendant Call

If you get invalid straight after dialling the feature access code then either your FAC is incorrect or there's a COS issue.
If you get invalid after trying to dial the extension number too, then take those phones out of the same pickup group and re-check.

You can also have a conflict with the FAC for Directed Call Pickup. Try changing it to something you know to be unique to test.
